Occupational Therapy Assistants (also known as OTAs) provide treatment to children and adults of all ages with disabilities, injuries, and illnesses under the supervision of occupational therapists. Initially OTAs work together with occupational therapists to develop a treatment regimen for the patient. They provide direct hands-on assistance by implementing treatment plans as developed by the occupational therapist.
